Administration of the Garden of Serenity

(Santa Luċija Local Council) (Amendment) Bye-Laws, 2010

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 34, 35(8) and

60 of the Local Councils Act, the Santa Luċija Local Council has made the following Bye-Laws:-

1. T h e t i t l e o f t h e s e B y e - L a w s m a y b e c i t e d i s Administration of the Garden of Serenity (Santa Luċija Local Council) (Amendment) Bye-Laws 2010 and shall be read and construed as one with the Administration of Garden of Serenity (Santa Luċija Local Council) Bye-Laws, hereinafter referred to as “the principal Bye-Laws”.

1.2 These Bye-Laws shall come into force upon their publication in the Gazette.

2. In the Third Schedule to the principal Bye-Laws, Part 3 thereof entitled “Fees due for activities requiring authorization by the Council” shall be substituted as follows:

Photo sessions: Pre-weddings and engagements etc.
Plays, musical, literary and cultural activities, media productions open to
the public free of charge
Use of the garden for activities by

Use of part of the garden for
wedding ceremonies
Use of part of the garden for private
functions such as engagements and baptism receptions
Private functions such as wedding receptions and similar activities with
the garden closed to the public
Use of the part of the garden known
as the Picnic Area for children’s parties
