BUSINESS PROMOTION ACT (CAP. 325)
Business Promotion (Amendment) Regulations, 2007
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 59 of the Business Promotion Act, the Minister for Investment, Industry and Information
Technology has made the following regulations>–
Citation and commencement.
L.N.135 of 2001.
Amends regulation
10 of the principal regulations.
Cap. 343.
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Business Promotion (Amendment) Regulations, 2007, and they shall be read and construed
as one with the Business Promotion Regulations, 2001, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st March, 2007.
2. In regulation 10 of the principal regulations, immediately after paragraph (6) thereof, there shall be inserted the following
new paragraph>
“(7) An unemployed person registering for employment under Part One and Part Two of the Register of persons seeking employment
maintained in terms of article 11 of the Employment and Training Services Act, who undertakes or intends to undertake at his own
expense specialised information technology training, may, subject to the approval of the Corporation, be granted the benefit provided
by this regulation.”.
