DEVELOPMENT PLANNING ACT (CAP. 356)
Period of Shutdown of the Malta Environment and Planning
Authority Offices Regulations, 2008
BY virtue of the powers conferred by article 60 of the Development Planning Act, the Minister for Rural Affairs and the Environment, after consultation with the Malta Environment and Planning Authority, has made
the following regulations>–
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Period of Shutdown of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority Offices Regulations,
2008.
(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th December, 2007.
2. “The Act” means the Development Planning Act.
3. (1) The period of shutdown of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority Offices shall be from the 23rd December of one year till the 1st January of the next following year.
(2) The period mentioned in sub-regulation (1) of this regulation shall not be considered as forming part of the original or extended
period mentioned in sub-article (1) of article 36 or of the period mentioned in sub-article (5) of article 32 of the Act.
4. The Period of Shutdown of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority Offices (Exemption of the period mentioned in Article
36) Order 2002, is hereby repealed.
