Amends regulation

3 of the principal regulations.

EMPLOYMENT AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ACT, 2002 (ACT NO. XXII OF 2002)
Protection of Maternity (Employment) (Amendment) Regulations, 2004
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 10 of the Employment and Industrial Relations Act, 2002, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Social Policy has made the following regulations>–
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Protection of Maternity (Employment) (Amendment) Regulations, 2004 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Protection of Maternity (Employment) Regulations, 2003, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force together with the principal regulations on the 5th January, 2004.
2. In paragraph (b) of subregulation (9) of regulation 3 of the principal regulations, for the words “in sub-regulation 2 (b),” there shall be substituted the words “in sub-regulation (3) (b),”.
