ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS (REGULATION) ACT (CAP. 399)Electronic Communications Networks and Services (General) (Amendment) Regulations, 2011
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 44 of the Electronic Communications (Regulation) Act, the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications, after consultation with the Minister for Finance, the Economy and Investment and with the Malta Communications Authority, has made the following regulations:
Citation and commencement.

Amends the Eleventh Schedule to the principal regulations.
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Electronic Communications Networks and Services (General) (Amendment) Regulations, 2011 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Electronic Communications Networks and Services (General) Regulations, 2004, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 1st
October 2011.
Regulations shall be amended as follows:
(a) paragraphs (a) and (b) thereof shall be deleted;
(b) paragraphs (c) and (d) thereof shall be renumbered as paragraphs (b) and ( c); and
( c ) i m m e d i a t e l y b e f o r e p a r a g r a p h ( b ) t h e r e o f as renumbered there shall be added the following
new paragraph:
“(a) for each paired 5MHz channel in the 900
MHz and, or 1800 MHz bands…………..€224,000”.
