ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT, 2001 (ACT NO. XX OF 2001)
Commencement Notice relating to Several Regulations
BY virtue of the power conferred on him by article 9 of the Environment Protection Act, 2001, and by regulation 1 of the same following regulations, the Minister for Home Affairs and the Environment has established the 14th of January, 2003 as the date when the following regulations issued under the said Act, shall come into force>–
Control of Volatile Organic Compounds Emissions (Storage and Distribution of Petrol from Terminals to Service Stations) Regulations, 2001, as published by Legal Notice 214 of 2001, with the exception of Regulation 5.
Reduction in Sulphur Content of Certain Liquid Fuels
Regulations, 2002, as published by Legal Notice 159 of 2002.
Quality of Petrol and Diesel Fuel Regulations, 2001, as published by Legal Notice 222 of 2001.
Protection of Waters Against Pollution Caused by Nitrates from Agricultural Sources Regulations 2001, as published by Legal Notice 343 of 2001.
Capture and Killing Methods (Prohibition) Regulations, 2002, as published by Legal Notice 167 of 2002.
National Emission Ceilings for Certain Atmospheric
Pollutants Regulations, 2002, as published by Legal Notice 291 of
2002.
Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer Regulations, 2002, as published by Legal Notice 292 of 2002.
Ozone in Ambient Air Regulations 2003 as published by Legal
Notice 11 of 2003.
Limitation of Emissions of Certain Pollutants into the Air from Large Combustion Plants Regulations, 2002 as published by Legal Notice 329 of 2002.
