ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT (CAP. 435)
Conservation of Wild Birds Regulations (Declaration of the closing of the Open Season for Hunting and Taking of Wild Birds) Regulations, 2007
BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 9 of the Environment Protection Act, the Minister for Rural Affairs and the Environment has made the following regulations>–
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Conservation of Wild Birds (Declaration of the closing of the Open Season for Hunting and Taking of Wild Birds) Regulations, 2007.
(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 1st
January, 2007.
2. Terms and expressions used in these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, shall have the same meaning as given to them in the Conservation of Wild Birds Regulations, 2006, hereinafter referred to as the “2006 Regulations”.
3. For the purposes of establishing the closing of the Open Season for the hunting and taking of wild birds under paragraphs (i) and (ii) of the proviso to sub-regulation (6) of regulation 10 of the 2006
Regulations, the Minister has established the following dates>
(a) 31st January, 2007 as the closing date of the Open Season for hunting of birds<
(b) 31st January, 2007 as the closing date of the Open Season for hunting of birds at sea< and
(c) 31st January, 2007 as the closing date of the Open Season for taking of finches.
