Free Movement of Goods Order, 2004
BY virtue of the powers conferred under article 4(2) of the European Union Act, 2003, the Prime Minister has made the following Order>
Citation and coming into force.
Interpretation. Free movement of
goods.
Repeals L.N. 293 of 2003
.
1. (1) The title of this Order is the Free Movement of Goods
Order, 2004.
(2) This Order shall come into force on the 1st May, 2004.
2. “Member State” means a state party to the Treaty.
3. No provision of any law shall impede the importation, marketing and use of products legally produced and marketed in a Member
State other than Malta, provided that such products ensure an equivalent level of protection as those that may legally be produced
and marketed in Malta.
4. The Free Movement of Goods Regulations, 2003, are hereby repealed.
