Free Movement of Goods Regulations, 2003
BY VIRTUE of the powers granted under article 4(2) of the European Union Act 2003, the Prime Minister has made the following regulations>

Citation and coming into force.

1. (1) These regulations may be cited as the Free Movement of Goods Regulations 2003.

(2) These regulations shall come into force on 1st May,

Interpretation.

Free Movement of

Goods.

2. Terms used in these regulations shall have the same meaning assigned to them in the European Union Act 2003, in the Treaty and in the relevant European Union instrument.
3. No provision of any law shall impede the importation, marketing and use of products legally produced and marketed in a Member State other than Malta, provided that such products ensure an equivalent level of protection as those that may legally be produced and marketed in Malta.
