FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION AND AUDIT ACT (CAP. 174)Public Contracts (Amendment) Regulations, 2009

BY virtue of the powers conferred by article 4 of the Financial Administration and Audit Act, the Minister of Finance, the Economy and Investment has made the following regulations:-

1. The title of these regulations is the Public Contracts (Amendment) Regulations, 2009 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Public Contracts Regulations, 2005, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.2. Schedule 1 to the principal regulations shall be amended as follows:-

(a) in the first column thereof, for the words “Ministry for Investment, Industry and Information Technology”, there shall be substituted the words, “Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications”; and
(b) under the new heading “Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications”, for the words “MALTAPOST PLC” in the second column, there shall be substituted the words “Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA)”.

3. Schedule 3 to the principal regulations shall be amended as follows:-

(a) in the first column thereof, for the words “Ministry for Investment, Industry and Information Technology” there shall be substituted the words, “Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications”; and
(b) in the first column thereof, under the new heading “Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications”, for the words “MALTAPOST PLC” in the second column thereof, there shall be substituted the word “Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA)”.

4. In the first column of Schedule 4 to the principal regulations, for the words “Ministry for Investment, Industry and Information Technology”, there shall be substituted the words, “Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications”.
