Recognised Investment Exchange (Fees) Regulations, 2003
Title and commencement.
Interpretation. Cap. 345.
Fees.
IN exercise of the powers vested in him by article 3 of the Financial Markets Act, the Minister of Finance, acting upon the advice
of the Malta Financial Services Authority as the Competent Authority has made the following regulations>-
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Recognised Investment
Exchange (Fees) Regulations, 2003.
(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 3rd
January 2003.
2. In these regulations, “the Act” means the Financial Markets Act and the words and expressions used shall have the same meaning
as is given to them in the Act.
3. The fees prescribed in respect of the application for and the retention of a recognition order shall be as follows>
(a) Lm3,000 upon submission of an application for the making of a recognition order by the Competent Authority declaring that body
to be a recognised investment exchange for the purposes of the Act, irrespective of whether the recognition order is eventually issued
or not<
(b) Lm5,000 as an annual licensing fee, due on the 1st January of each year by each recognised investment exchange if it is to
remain a recognised investment exchange.
