FEES ORDINANCE (CAP. 35)Fees for the Use of the Facilities of the National Park - Ta’ QaliRegulations, 2010BY virtue of the powers conferred by article 2 of the Fees Ordinance, the Minister for Resources and Rural Affairs, with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, the Economy and Investment, has made the following regulations:
1. The title of these regulations is the Fees for the Use of theFacilities of the National Park - Ta’ Qali Regulations, 2010.
2. In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires-“the Minister” means the Minister responsible for national parks, and “Ministry” shall be construed accordingly;
“Park” means the National Park - Ta’ Qali, as shown on the site-plan in the Second Schedule;
“the Park Unit” means the Park Unit National Park and Countryside Restoration -Ta’ Qali, responsible for the management and
administration of the Park within the Ministry.
(2) Any other expenses, including the provision of water, electricity and telephone services and the attendance of extra staff
during such activities or events, shall be charged separately and reimbursed to the Park Unit.
(3) The fees indicated in the First Schedule shall be charged on a daily basis, provided that if the facilities are used for four
to seven consecutive days, the fee shall be reduced by 10%, while there shall be a reduction of 20% if the facilities are used for
eight day or more.

4. The organisers of any event held at the Park may be requested to give a bank guarantee as security for the activity or event. The determination of the amount of the guarantee shall be at the discretion of the Park Unit.5. (1) The Minister may exempt charitable entities from paying the full fees as prescribed in these regulations.(2) Non-government organisations registered under the Voluntary Organisations Act shall pay fifty percent of the fees prescribed in these regulations.
6. The Minister may prohibit the holding of certain events at the Park.7. The Minister shall have the discretion to establish the fee for activities and events held in areas other than those described in the First Schedule, but which are also within the boundaries of the Park.8. The authorisation to hold an activity or event at the Park does not exempt the applicant from obtaining all the necessary official permits for the holding of the said activity or event.9.
