FOOD SAFETY ACT (CAP. 449)
Food Supplements (Amendment) Regulations, 2007
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 10 of the Food Safety Act, the Minister of Health, the Elderly and Community Care has
made the following regulations>–

Scope and commencement.
Amends the Second Schedule to the principal regulations.
1. The title of these regulations is the Food Supplements (Amendment) Regulations, 2007, and they shall be read and construed as
one with the Food Supplements Regulations, 2003, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
2. These regulations implement the provisions of Commission Directive 2006#37#EC of 30th March, 2006, and they shall enter into force on 30th April, 2007.
3. The Second Schedule to the principal regulations shall be amended as follows>
(a) in Section A. Vitamins>
(i) for the heading “10. FOLIC ACID” there shall be substituted the heading “10. FOLATE”< and
(ii) the following line shall be added under the heading
“10. FOLATE”>
“(b) calcium-L-methylfolate”< and
(b) in Section B. Minerals, the following line shall be inserted immediately before the words “cupric carbonate”>
“ferrous bisglycinate”.
