Labelling, Presentation and Advertising of Foodstuffs
(Amendment) Regulations, 2006
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 10 of the Food Safety Act, the Minister of Health, the Elderly and Community Care has made the following regulations>–

Scope and commencement.

Amends the Third Schedule to the principal regulations.

1. The title of these regulations is the Labelling, Presentation and Advertising of Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations, 2006, and they shall be read and construed as one with the Labelling, Presentation and Advertising of Foodstuffs Regulations, 2004, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
2. These regulations further implement the provisions of Commission Directive 2005#26#EC of the 21st March, 2005 and Commission Directive 2005#63#EC of 3rd October, 2005 and amend the principal regulations as amended by the Labelling, Presentation and Advertising of Foodstuffs (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations,
2005, and they shall be deemed to have come into force together with the said amending regulations on the 25th November, 2005.
3. In Part C of the Third Schedule to the principal regulations, with regards to the Ingredient “Fish”, in the corresponding column “Products thereof provisionally excluded” for the words “carrier for vitamins and flavours” there shall be substituted the words “carrier for vitamins or carotenoid preparations and flavours”.
