LOCAL COUNCILS ACT (CAP. 363)
Local Councils (Procedures) (Amendment) Regulations, 2003
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 72(3) of the Local Councils Act, the Minister for Justice and Home Affairs, with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, has made the following regulations>–

Title.

Amends the Local Councils (Financial) Procedures, 1996, L.C.P. 1#96.

1. The title of these regulations is the Local Councils (Procedures) (Amendment) Regulations, 2003 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Local Councils (Procedures) Regulations, 1996, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
2. In the Local Councils (Financial) Procedures, 1996, in paragraph P1.05, item i.01 and item i.02, immediately at their end, there shall be added the following proviso>–
“Provided that wherever in this paragraph it is indicated that a rate of ten per cent in the case of a positive balance shall apply, for the period between 1 October, 2003 and 31 March, 2004 there shall apply a rate of five per cent.”.
