Citation and commencement.
Interpretation.
No loitering.
Penalty.
1.1. The title of these Bye-Laws is the Loitering in and around
St. Luke Square (Pietà Local Council) Bye-Laws, 2006.
1.2. These Bye-Laws shall come into force one month after their publication in the Gazette.
2. In these Bye-Laws, unless the context otherwise requires>- “the Act” means the Local Councils Act<
“Council” means the Pietà Local Council<
“locality” means the locality of Pietà as shown in the Second
Schedule to the Local Councils Act<
“loitering” means the persistent presence of any person for no apparent reason, however excluding persons who are carrying out
a duty in St. Luke Square, Pietà, or in the vicinty thereof.
3. No person shall loiter in St. Luke Square, Pietà or in the vicinity thereof.
4. Any person who is found loitering in St. Luke Square, Pietà or in the vicinity thereof, shall be guilty of a contravention
and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine (ammenda) of thirty liri (Lm30).
