METROLOGY ACT (CAP. 454)
Standard of Mass of Grain (Amendment) Regulations, 2008
IN exercise of the powers conferred by regulation 19 of the Metrology Act, the Malta Standards Authority has made the following regulations>–
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Standard Mass of Grain (Amendment) Regulations, 2008 and they shall be read and
construed as one with the Standard Mass of Grain Regulations, 2002, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
(2) These regulations transpose Annex B of Directive
2006#96#EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20th November, 2006 on adapting certain Directives in the field of free movement of goods, by reason of the accession of Bulgaria and Romania
on the 1st January, 2007.
Citation, scope and commencement.

(3) These regulations shall come into force on 1st January,
2. (1) Regulation 3 (i) shall be substituted by>
Amends regulation
3 of the principal regulations.
“ (i) the definition of the characteristic of cereals designated EEC standard mass per storage volume (masse à l'hectolitre CEE, EEG- natuurgewicht, EWG-Schüttdichte, peso ettolitrico CEE, EØF-masse af hektoliter korn, EØF-masse av hektoliter korn , βάρος εκατολίτρου ΕΟΚ, masa del hectolitro CEE, peso hectolitro CEE, EY hehtolitrapaino, EG hektolitervikt ,хектолитрова маса ЕИО, EHS objemová hmotnost obilí, EMÜ puistemass, EEK tilpummasa, EEB hektolitro masė, EGK- hektolitertömeg, Il-massa standard tal- KEE għall-volum tal-preservar, gęstość zboża w stanie zsypnym EWG, masă hectolitrică CEE, EGS hektolitrska masa, EHS násypná hustota obilia);”
