MALTA ARMED FORCES ACT (CAP. 220)
Emergency Volunteer Reserve Force (Appointments and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Regulations, 2004
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 4 of the Malta Armed
Forces Act, the President of Malta has made the following regulations>–

Amends regulation
10 of
the principal regulations.
1. The title of these regulations is the Emergency Volunteer Reserve Force (Appointments and Conditions of Service) (Amendment)
Regulations, 2004 and shall be read and construed as one with the Emergency Volunteer Reserve Force (Appointments and Conditions
of Service) Regulations, 1998, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
2. For regulation 10 of the principal regulations there shall be substituted the following>
“Re- engagement.
Termination of engagement.
10. (1) Such percentage of personnel enlisted on an initial engagement under regulation 9 hereof as the Minister may, according
to the exigencies of the service, determine, may be allowed to serve for further engagements of three years.
(2) Nothwithstanding any other provisions of these regulations, a serving member of the force shall have his or her engagement
terminated on reaching the age of forty-one years.”.
