MERCHANT SHIPPING ACT (CAP. 234)Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, 2003
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 374 of the Merchant Shipping Act, the Minister for Transport and Communications has made the following regulations: –
1. The title of these regulations is the Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, 2003 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations, 1973, hereinafter referred to as the “principal regulations”.2. The Schedule to the principal regulations shall be amended as follows –(a) in Part 1, immediately after the item “For reservation of name of ship” there shall be added the following item:
“Approval of an international owner as a person qualified to own a Maltese ship .................. Lm 100
and Lm50 annually thereafter”;
(b) Part 3 shall be renumbered as Part 2.
