PESTICIDES CONTROL ACT (CAP. 430)Maximum Residue Levels of Pesticides in Produce of Plant and Animal Origin (Implementation of EC Regulation) Regulations, 2009
IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 4 and 5 of the Pesticides Control Act, the Minister for Resources and Rural Affairs, in consultation with the Prime Minister and the Minister for Social Policy, has made the following regulations:-

Competent Authority. Penalties.
1. The title of these regulations is the Maximum Residue Levels of Pesticides in Produce of Plant and Animal Origin (Implementation of EC Regulation) Regulations 2009.2. The regulations implement the provisions of Articles 30,31, 34 and 38 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 February 2005 on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin and amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC.
3. The Malta Standards Authority is the competent authority within the meaning of Article 38 of Regulation (EC) No. 396/2005.4.
