President of Malta and other Officers
(Revision of Salaries) Order, 2006
In exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 2 and 3 of the President of Malta and other Officers (Salaries) Act, hereinafter referred to as “the Act”, the Prime Minister has made the following order>-
1. This order may be cited as the President of Malta and other Officers (Revision of Salaries) Order, 2006, and shall be deemed to have come into effect on the 1st January, 2006.
2. There shall be paid to the President of Malta, instead of the salary prescribed by Article 2 of the Act, a salary of Lm19,176 with effect from 1st January 2006.
Lm19,743 with effect from 1st January 2007. Lm20,786 with effect from 1st January 2008. Lm21,854 with effect from 1st January 2009. Lm22,949 with effect from 1st January 2010.
3. There shall be paid to the holder of the office specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto instead of the salary prescribed by Article 3 of the Act, the annual salary respectively specified in the respective columns of that Schedule during the year to which each of the second to the sixth columns of the Schedule refers. The said salaries shall be payable as from the 1st day of January of each specified year.
