PRODUCT SAFETY ACT (CAP. 427)Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2009
IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 38 to 40 of the Product Safety Act, the Minister of Finance, the Economy and Investment, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority, has made the following regulations:-
1. The title of these regulations is the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2009, and they shall be read and construed as one with the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations, 2002, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.2. These regulations implement Commission Directive2008/74/EC of 18 July 2008 amending, as regards the type approval of motor vehicles with respect to emissions from light passenger and commercial vehicles (Euro 5 and Euro 6) and access to vehicle repair and maintenance information, Directive 2005/55/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Directive 2005/78/ EC.
3. For Schedule XVII to the principal regulations, there shall be substituted the following:-Citation.
