PRODUCT SAFETY ACT (CAP. 427)Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations, 2009
IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 38 to 40 of the Product Safety Act, the Minister of Finance, the Economy and Investment, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority, has made the following regulations:-
1. The title of these regulations is the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations, 2009, and they shall be read and construed as one with the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations, 2002, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.2. These regulations implement the following requirements: (a) Commission Directive 2008/89/EC of September2008 amending, for the purposes of its adaptation to technical
progress, Council Directive 76/756/EEC concerning the installation of lighting and light-signalling devices on motor vehicles and
their trailers.
