PRODUCT SAFETY ACT (CAP. 427)
The Fertilisers (Implementation) Regulations, 2008
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 39 of the Product Safety Act, the Minister for Competitiveness and Communications, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority has made the following regulations>
1. (1) The title of these regulations is The Fertilisers
(Implementation) Regulations, 2008.
(2) These regulations implement the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 2003#2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13th October 2003 relating to fertilisers.
2. The Malta Standards Authority shall be the competent authority within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No. 2003#2003.
3. The information specified in Article 11 of Regulation (EC) No. 2003#2003 shall appear in at least one of the following languages>
Maltese, English, Italian.
4. The penalties applicable for infringement of the provisions of Article 36 of Regulation (EC) No. 2003#2003 shall be those provided for in Part IV of the Product Safety Act.
