Two or Three Wheel Motor Vehicles (EC-Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations, 2007
IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 38 to 40 of the Product Safety Act, 2001, the Minister for Competitiveness and Communications, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority, has made the following regulations>-
1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Two or Three Wheel Motor Vehicles (EC-Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations, 2007, and they shall be read and construed as one with the Two or Three Wheel Motor Vehicles (EC-Type Approval) Regulations, 2003, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
(2) These regulations implement the requirements of Commission Directive 2006#27#EC of 3 March 2006 amending for the purposes of adapting to technical progress Council Directives 93#14#EEC on the braking of two- or three-wheel motor vehicles and 93#34#EEC on statutory markings for two- or three-wheel motor vehicles, Directives of the European Parliament and of the Council 95#1#EC on the maximum design speed, maximum torque and maximum net engine power of two- or three-wheel motor vehicles and 97#24#EC on certain components and characteristics of two- or three-wheel motor vehicles
