Activities Requiring Permits by Local Councils (Amendment) Regulations, 2004
IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 27(1) and 28 of the Trading Licences Act, 2001 the Minister for Justice and Home Affairs after consultation and in concurrence with the Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, and in exercise of the powers conferred by article
34(2) of the Local Councils Act, has made the following regulations>

Amends regulation

8 of the principal regulations.

1. (1) The title of these regulations is Activities Requiring Permit by Local Councils (Amendment) Regulations, 2004 and shall be read and construed as one with Activities Requiring Permit by Local Council Regulations, 2002, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.
2. Subregulation 1 of regulation 8 of the principal regulation shall be amended as follows>–
(a) for the words “the Local Council.” there shall be substituted the words “the Local Council>”< and
(b) immediately at the end of the subregulation there shall be added the new proviso as follows>
“Provided that the aforementioned provision in this sub- regulation shall not apply in the special case of machinery known as high-up and tower-ladder as long as these are not obstructing the traffic flow and are parked properly.”.
