AN ACT to amend the Trading Licences Act to extend the offences and penalties relative to retail outlets selling alcoholic beverages.
BE IT ENACTED by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
(2) This Act shall come into force on such date as the Minister responsible for commerce may by notice in the Gazette appoint.
(a) the present article shall be renumbered as sub-article
(1) thereof; and
(b) immediately after sub-article (1) thereof, as re- numbered, there shall be added the following new sub-article:
Short title and commencement.

Amendment of article 18 of the principal Act.

"(2) The Minister may make regulations establishing offences and the relative punishments in relation to contraventions
involving the sale of alcohol, which punishments shall not exceed a fine (multa) of twenty thousand euro (20,000) and, or, the revocation of the licence.".
