VETERINARY SERVICES ACT (ACT NO. XXIII OF 2001)
Mutual Recognition of Qualifications of Veterinary Surgeons
(Amendment) Regulations, 2008
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 45A of the Veterinary Services Act, the Minister for Rural Affairs and the Environment has made the following regulations>-

Citation and scope.

Substiution of Schedule I of the principal regulations.

1. (1) These regulations may be cited as the Mutual Qualifications of Veterinary Surgeons (Amendment) Regulations, 2008 and shall be read and construed as one with the Mutual Recognition of Qualifications of Veterinary Surgeons Regulations, 2004, hereinafter referred to as the “principal regulations”.
(2) The scope of these regulations is the transposition of Section 5 and point 5 of Annex V, to Directive 2005#36 EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of the 7th September, 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as amended by Directive
2006#100, and repealing Directives 77#452#EEC, 77#453#EEC,
78#686#EEC, 78#687#EEC, 78#1026#EEC, 78#1027#EEC, 80#154#EEC,
80#155#EEC, 85#384#EEC, 85#432#EEC, 85#433#EEC, 89#48#EEC,
92#51#EEC, 93#16#EEC and 1999#42#EC>
Provided that references to the repealed Directives in the principal regulations shall be understood as references to this Directive and the acts adopted by the principal regulations on the basis of those Directives shall not be affected by the repeal.
