WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY ORDINANCE (CAP. 49)
Wireless Telegraphy Ordinance (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations, 2003
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 4 (2) of the Wireless Telegraphy Ordinance, the Minister for Transport and Communications, in concurrence with the Minister of Finance, has made the following regulations>–
1. The title of these regulations is the Wireless Telegraphy Ordinance (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations, 2003 and they shall be read and construed as one with the Wireless Telegraphy Ordinance, hereinafter referred to as “the Ordinance”.
2. The Schedule to the Wireless Telegraphy (Broadcast Licence Charges) Regulations, 1962, contained in the Schedule to the Ordinance, shall be amended as follows>–
(a) in item 1, column 2, paragraph (a) shall be substituted by the following< “(a) for each colour television receiver having a picture tube not exceeding 53cm measured diagonally and which is not connected with a satellite television receiving terminal, to be used exclusively in bedrooms of hotels, aparthotels and tourists villages as defined in the Malta Travel And Tourism Services Act (Cap.409) and the regulations enacted thereunder”<
(b) item 1, in paragraphs (b), (c), (d) and (e) of column 2 thereof, the words “and holiday complexes” shall be deleted and after the word “hotels” there shall be added the words “aparthotels and tourists villages”< and
(c) item 1, in paragraph (e) of Column 2 thereof, the words from “For the purposes of this Schedule” to the words “measured diagonally.” immediately following the first proviso thereof, shall be deleted.
